we are playing with these guys in two weeks time
saw them tonight at hotel utah
they are a nice mix of garage rock and dance music
i couldn't wipe the smile off my face for most of their set
they also have quite a following
mostly women (who like to dance) and clap
ralph carney who has played on a number of tom waits recordings
played with them tonight and on their album
fantastic
the new rapture album
not what i wanted
definitely, objectively, not as good as echoes
but the good songs are so stupidly simple and danceable
and don't leave your mind for days
listening to the newly grizzly bear
certainly pleasant and pretty
the folk movement continues
on an english electronic label
